Program Description...

For Both Day Classes and Evening Classes:

These are extremely demanding programs. Students will study the art of acting for the stage. The students will learn methods of character development and acting techniques through a series of theatre exercises, improvisations and by rehearsing and analyzing scenes, in detail, from a published script.

This six-day session will culminate in a presentation of the scenes which each student will have rehearsed and analyzed in detail. Each student will receive feedback and constructive criticism after their performance.

The focus will be placed on characterization, connection to the text, connection with the scene partner, spontaneity and believability. There will be very little focus on set, costumes and props. The purpose of this week is to explore acting techniques and to grow as a performer, not to mount a full-scale show.

Note: While both the Day Classes and the Evening Classes will explore the same areas of study, the exercises and rehearsal process will be designed to suit the age and skill level of the participants.

*No previous experience required.
